Australia’s most popular dog

Not an Australian breed
Despite popular belief, the first Cavoodle wasn’t born in Australia but rather in 1950’s America. It was however further developed in Australia in the 1990’s where Cavalier King Charles Spaniels where cross bred with both Miniature and Toy Poodles.
The perfect pandemic puppy
Cavoodles first entered the top 20 dog breeds in 2009 and its popularity has skyrocketed since, much thanks to Covid lockdowns. Small, friendly, trainable and great with kids – the Cavoodle became the dog of choice for many families and couples living in metro areas during the pandemic.
Teddy bears with brains!
Cavoodles are ridiculously cute and they’re also highly intelligent. They get their brains, not only from the Poodle side of the family but also the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
