Recipe: Quick and Easy Dog Biscuits

Recipe: Quick and Easy Dog Biscuits

With just five ingredients, these dog biscuits are quick and easy to make.

Ingredients

1 ½ cups rolled oats

1/2 cup peanut butter (make sure it's xylitol-free, as xylitol is toxic to dogs)

1 ripe banana, mashed

1 egg

1/4 cup water

Method

Preheat oven to 175°C and line a baking tray with baking paper

In a large bowl, combine the rolled oats, peanut butter, mashed banana, and egg. Mix ingredients together.

Gradually add water to the mixture to create a dough. Start with a little and add more as needed until the dough holds together well.

Lightly flour a clean surface and roll out the dough to about 1/4 inch thickness.

Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes from the dough. You can choose bone shapes, dogs, or any other fun shape you like.

Place the cut-out shapes onto the prepared baking tray.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown and crisp.

Once baked, remove the biscuits from the oven and allow them to cool completely on a wire rack.

Store the homemade dog biscuits in an airtight container to keep them fresh. You can also freeze them and defrost when needed. Remember these are dog treats, and won't replace a balanced dog diet. Before you make these biscuits, please make sure they're suitable for your pup.
